In the Sportage HEV models, this engine is paired with a 270V lithium-ion battery pack, while a 360V lithium-ion battery pack is equipped on the Sportage PHEV models. The result is a shared net torque rating of 258 lb-ft, while the Sportage HEV generates 227 net horsepower and the Sportage PHEV generates 261 horsepower. Regardless of which model you choose, all 2023 Kia Sportage HEV/PHEV models come equipped with a pre-wired trailering package and boast a maximum towing capacity of 907 kgs or 2,000 lbs.
Exclusively available on the 2023 Sportage PHEV models, owners have the ability to plug in their vehicle and take advantage of up to an estimated 55 km of all-electric driving range. Simply connect the Sportage to a compatible charger and juice up the battery from 15% to 100% in as little as 2 hours!
