All 2024 Sportage HEV and PHEV models share the same 1.6L direct-injected turbo four-cylinder engine. Sportage HEV models pair this engine with a 270V lithium-ion battery pack, while a larger 360V lithium-ion battery pack is equipped on the Sportage PHEV models. The result is a shared net torque rating of 258 lb-ft, while the Sportage HEV generates 227 net horsepower, and the Sportage PHEV generates 261 horsepower.
Exclusively available on the 2024 Sportage PHEV models, take advantage of up to an estimated 55 km of all-electric driving on a full charge. When the vehicle needs more juice, simply plug-in the Sportage PHEV to a compatible charger and juice up the battery from 15% to 100% in as little as 2 hours (Level 2 Charger required).
