The 2024 Kia K5 can be equipped with either a 1.6-litre turbocharged GDI four-cylinder, or a more powerful 2.5-litre turbocharged GDI four-cylinder engine. The standard powertrain is mated to a traditional 8-speed automatic transmission and generates 180 horsepower & 195 lb-ft of torque. Those who opt for the range-topping K5 GT model can expect a quick-shifting 8-speed dual clutch transmission to modulate the engine’s 290 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque.
