Kia is set to diversify the electric vehicle market with its all-new Kia EV4. The sedan will arrive in Canada in 2026, with front-wheel drive models the first to be available. Range
Canadians will have three trim options to choose from: Light, Wind, and GT-Line. The Light trim is ideal for daily commutes. Its standard 58.3 kWh battery will offer an estimated 378km of range.
The Wind and GT-Line trims are more suited for extended travels. Depending on the configuration, the EV4 can provide an estimated range of 531km, while other models can reach 482km. Both trim levels will offer a battery capacity of 81.4 kWh.
Charging
Despite the varying trim options, all EV4 models will feature a North American Charging Standard (NACS) port on the front-passenger side. With DC fast-charging capability, the smaller battery will achieve 10% to 80% charge in roughly 29 minutes. The larger battery will take approximately 31 minutes.
Responsive Electric Performance
The 2026 Kia EV4 is built on the 400V Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). A front-mounted 150 kW motor will power the launch models. The suspension combines MacPherson struts at the front with a multi-link rear configuration for composed cornering capability that absorbs the imperfections of the road.
