2021 is not yet at our doorstep that already news about the 2022 Stinger has reached us. In fact, Kia has been ahead of schedule in announcing the mid-term changes that will be reserved for the model next year in preparation for the following year.

As is always the case, these types of revisions involve exterior cosmetic changes. For example, it can be seen that the 2022 version has new LED headlights and that the design of the rear lights extends across the entire width of the vehicle. As for the LED elements of the turn signals, they were designed to look like a checkered flag, which leaves no doubt about the product's sporty vocation.

New 18-inch and 19-inch wheel designs will also be offered. The GT variant will be equipped with more massive exhaust tips and a rear diffuser. Kia says that a black-focused appearance package is planned.

On-board improvements are promised, including richer materials. New contrasting stitching and metallic finishes, as well as glossy black trim, promise to add a touch of class to the model. The interior will also benefit from new ambient lighting in a variety of colours. The multimedia system will see the size of its screen increase from 8 to 10.25 inches, like the one found inside other products of the brand.

Mechanically, rumour has it that the 3.3-litre turbocharged V6 will be replaced by a 300-hp, 3.5-litre turbocharged V6, but that remains to be confirmed. More details about this renewed Stinger will surely come to us in the coming months. The official presentation of the model would take place before the end of the year, while its road debut would take place in the first half of 2021.
